Brief Summary: On March 14, 2015, Mr. Mao Ruibing, from the countryside near our hospital, who had been suffering acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, was hospitalized in our hospital. He was cured after 15 days TCM treatment with herbal tea, acupuncture and massage in our hospital.

The patient had repeated short breath, chest oppression and difficult breathing for 4 year, and his condition became worse for 3 days. He was hospitalized in our hospital as a patient with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis for TCM treatment at 11:00 a.m. on March 14, 2015.

Essential for Diagnosis:

1. Medical History: 4 years ago the patient had short-breath, cough and expectoration because of the airtight and smoking environment. He went to the local hospital. He was diagnosed with bronchitical asthma. After the treatment, his condition was better and he left the hospital. After that he had difficulty in breathing and he felt oppressed. And his symptoms got worse year by year. If his condition relieved, he could walk normally for around 500 kilometers. Yet he felt chest oppression and difficult breathing. Sometimes he had cough, short breath and difficult breathing, even he could not walk normally. He took the western medicine, the symptoms relieved. He was easy to be tired and angry. Sometime he had dizziness. His appetite was normal. His sleeping was not good. The urination and bowel movement were normal.

2. When the patient came to our hospital, he had the following symptoms, such as shortness of breath, chest oppression, cough, expectoration, difficulty in breathing, accompanied with difficult walking, tired, dizziness, weakness and fear of cold. His sleeping was not good. His urination was normal.

3. T: 36.4℃     P: 80 times/minute   R: 20 times/minute    BP: 140/90mmHg

4. The patient had normal development, physique and spiritual status, while with chronic disease face. There was no yellow skin or yellow sclera over his whole body. The whole body the superficial lymph nodes were not swelling. His neck was soft. The jugular vein was of no engorgement. There was no enlargement over his thyroid. The appearance of his trachea was good and in the center. His chest was symmetrical. Sound of breathing in the lungs was clear, but with rhonchi. Rhythm of his heart was 80 times per minute. Heart rate was regular with no murmurs. His abdomen was soft with no pressing pains and rebound tenderness. There was no sign of deformity over his spine and four limbs. There were pressing pains over his waist. Meningeal irritation was negation. Physiologic reflections existed. His tongue was slight with thin and white and greasy coating. His pulse was deep, thin and weak.
