Brief Summary: On Feb. 05, 2015, Pan Shihan, came from the village of Lishan near our hospital, who had been suffering from unknown cough for 1 month, especially in the morning. This 6-year-old girl had been suffering from cough for one month. She was hospitalized as a patient with mycoplasma pneumonia for TCM treatment at 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 05, 2015. 

Essential for Diagnosis: 

1. Medical History: She had repeated cough for more than one month. In the past, she was hospitalized as a patient with mycoplasma pneumonia in the No. 1 People Hospital of Huaihua. Yet she left hospital because there was no obvious improvement after 10 days treatment. There were no food or medicine for her to get allergy response.

2. When the patient came to our hospital, she had cough with phlegm. It was not easy to spit phlegm out. Her spirit and her appetite were not good. She has no fever. Her urination and bowel movement were normal.

 3. T: 37°C   R: 20 times/minute    P: 80 times/minute   BP: 90/60mmHg 

4. The patient had normal growth with pale complexion. She cooperated with doctors when the physical examinations were made. There was no yellow skin or yellow sclera over her whole body. There was enlargement over her lymph node. It was movable and slightly compressed when the doctor touch the lymph node. Her neck was soft. She can freely move her neck. There were several small masses of lymphoid tissue in the wall of the throat. There was no enlargement over her thyroid. The appearance of her trachea was good and in the center. Her chest was symmetrical. Sound of breathing in the lungs was bigger with a little rhonchi. Rhythm of her heart was 80 times per minute. Heart rate was regular with no murmurs. Her abdomen was soft with no pressing pains and enclosed masses. There was no deformity over her spine. Her four limbs were normal. The pathologic reflex was not found. The tongue body was red with white and thin coating. The pulse was string-like and slightly slippery.
