Husaain, male, a 60-year-old man, had suffered from pains over his left lumbar for 5 years, and slightly edema over his lower limbs for 2 months. He was hospitalized in our hospital for treatment at 7 p.m. on June 15, 2012.

Essential for Diagnosis:

1. The patient had suffered from pains over his left lumbar for 5 years, and slightly edema over his lower limbs for 2 months.

2. When he came to our hospital, he felt powerless over his whole body. Both his lower limbs were edema. He also suffered nausea and sensation of vomiting, dizziness and headache, cough and shortness of breath. If walked too fast, he suffered from palpitationss, shortness of breath and chest pains. There were swelling pains over the joints of his four limbs, especially over his left knees and spine of his left foot. He suffered urgent urination and not-finishing urination. He had three times night urination. Stool was dry, with once a day. He spirit was not good. Appetite was normal, but sleep was bad. He had much mouth water when slept.

3. T: 36.3°C   R: 20 times/minute    P: 96 times/minute   BP: 100/70mmHg

4. He grew normally with common nutrition and he had a normal body fit. His sense and speaking were normal. His mind was clear. He had chronic sick facial complexion. He walked lamely. There were percussion pains over his left kidney part. There was slightly edema over his lower limbs. He felt pains over his left knee joints when there was some pressure over the knees. When he bended his finger joints, there were swelling pains. His tongue was red, with yellowish and greasy tongue coating. His pulse was thready, rapid and powerless.
